Swinging by to say hi

This pretty lady is from The Glittering Trapezist clear stamp set.

I stamped her out coloured her with copics and added shiny touches with an acrylic gold paint pen from Nova. Then I masked her and created the back ground by ink blending Spun sugar, kitsch flamingo and wilted violet distress oxide inks using the cloudy skies stencil from Heffy Doodle.

The sentiment is from the Heffy Doodles chimply the best clear stamp set from Heffy Doodle.

Sending you a little vitamin sea

Have you seen the beautiful new digi release from Sweet November Stamps? There are gorgeous mermaids with their animal friends This is the very beautiful Cari and Neo. I had so much fun colouring this duo up. You can grab them right now and as they are digi's there is no waiting or paying for postage which is even better! The sentiment is from the new clear stamp set from Sweet November Stamps Sea birds stamp set. I used peacock feathers distress ink to make a circular shape in the middle of my square card. Then I flicked it with prize ribbon and mermaid lagoon distress oxide sprays. To add a last bit of sparkle and texture I added a few Nuvo silver crystal glitter drops.

I used the following Copics to colour this duo:
Skin: V17, E35, E13
Hair: W9, W7, W5
Tail: R85, R83, R81
Top: B01
Dolphin: B45, B21, B000

New baby cuteness

How adorable is this little Giraffe from Heffy Doodle's Two by two safari animals stamp set? As soon as I saw it I knew I needed to make it into a baby card.

I have ink blended the back ground with tattered rose, dried marigold, wild honey and rusty hinge distress oxide inks. The stitched edging around the card is thanks to the Heffy Doodle Whimsically wonky dies

For the new baby sentiment I used the Happy New Baby sentiment die to cut out some of the Man cave patterned paper and snipped off the word Happy so it just says New baby.
As the finishing touch I added in some of the yellow enamel dots from the Summer Holiday set. I love how easy these dots are to use and that there is no drying time.

Bleaching with water and it is beautiful!

I am back with my next card for the Altenew AECP level 2.

For this card I took my inspiration from the Beyond Basic Backgrounds class. I have to say I have been crafting for many years now but I absolutely loved this class! There were so many tips and techniques that I could learn from and I had so much fun making and playing with the different techniques.

But my favourite was the idea of bleaching with water. Why oh why have I not done this before??

I just LOVE the way it stretches your stamps as well as giving this subtle but beautiful result. I am also so impressed with how well it has kept the fine detail that is in the Altenew Quaint Blooms stamp set. I was so sure it was going to bleed over the edges and give a sort of fuzzy look. For the record you can get that look if you add more water to your stamp. It gives a different but equally beautiful look.

For this card I first blended Blueprint sketch, mermaid lagoon and salvaged patina distress oxide inks all over my piece of watercolour card stock. Then using my stamping platform I lined up the Quaint blooms stamp where I wanted it and then used a sponge to apply water to the stamp. I stamped with the water about 4 times to get these images to appear this clearly. Once I had that beautiful background I did not want to cover it up too much so added the Painted Encouragement stamp set which I embossed with Gold super fine Wow! embossing powder. Before finishing it off with a few sparkly gems.

I hope you can try this technique out for yourself and I can really recommend taking the class to find out all of the other hints and techniques :D

Turtley Awesome

I have definitely been feeling the summer vibes with the hot weather we have had here in the UK. And I made this card using the turtles from the Turtley Awesome stamp set as they just scream summer to me :D I coloured them up with copics before putting them on with some foam pads to add a bit of dimension.

For the back ground I did some tone on tone ink blending and then did some more inking through the She sells sea shells stencil to give another layer and pattern to the background. I used squeezed lemonademustard seed and Fossilised Amber distress oxide inks for my stencilling. I used an oval die to cut in the middle of  my inked panel to create a frame that I used for this card and I used the oval on another card that I shared last week :D

The sentiment is from the Heffy Doodle Pebble sentiments and die cut with the pebble add on die. I stamped in Catherine Pooler Tiara ink. I also used the Tiara ink to colour the strip of card so it perfectly matches the card.

Summer feel

I have definitely been feeling the summer vibes with the hot weather we have had here in the UK. And I made this card using the turtles from the Turtley Awesome stamp set as they just scream summer to me :D I coloured them up with copics before putting them on with some foam pads to add a bit of dimension.

For the back ground I did some tone on tone ink blending and then did some more inking through the She sells sea shells stencil to give another layer and pattern to the background. I used squeezed lemonade, mustard seed and Fossilised Amber distress oxide inks for my stencilling. I used an oval die to cut in the middle of  my inked panel to create an oval for this card and leave me with a frame that I can use on another card. I sprayed the card blank with Salvaged Patina distress ink stain. The seniment is a combination of the sunshine die from Heffy Doodle and a hello stamp from Sweet Dixie's Big sentiments set.

Shake it up

For the first time in ages I have had a go at a shaker card. The shakers bits are all from random things I have picked up off of e-bay over the years and decided to put together for this. I ink blended a background with Blueprint sketch, broken china and tumbled glass distress oxide ink. Next I used the Kraftin' Kimmie snowflake kisses stamp set as well as some clear sparkly embossing powder to add a bit of sparkle and texture to it. To finish it off I used some gold embossing powder and a sentiment from the Holiday wishes stamp set to make the sentiment stand out from the background.

I used some acetate that I cut to the same size as my inked panel and added foam tape all around the edges of it. Before sticking it to the inked panel I used an anti static bag on the inside of the acetate and then put my chosen shaker bits in it. To hide the tape I die cut a the scalloped slimline frame from the Falalala die set and stuck it on the front of the window.

The adorable mouse is from the Cool critters stamp set and coloured him up with copics before attaching him to the front.

Thanks a ton

The little whales, shark and mermaids in The Greeting Farm "Mermaid Fun" stamp set called to me so I had to add them to my collection. I made this card (other than the colouring) in 10 minutes as part of a card wars challenge. That is where you have 10 minutes to make something and have to incorporate a few randomly picked techniques or theme. For this card I had to do some ink blending and ink smooshing. it was so much fun doing the smooshing and as soon as I had done the smooshing I knew I needed to add this little whale that I had in my stash of coloured images. I am so pleased with how this turned out :D

I used a mix of  Blueprint skecth and Tumbled glass distress oxides for the blending and smooshing. I felt it needed a little something else so I used a sentiment from the MFT "Friends with Fins" set and some nuvo drops for a touch of sparkle and texture :)

How are you doing friend?

I really love playing with this badger from Crafty Purple Frogs The Sett stamp set and cropping it to just his face and neck gave me this idea. The sentiment is from the Heffy Doddle Close at heart sentiment set.  For the back ground I masked off the bottom of the card and then used the Heffy Doodle Circles of life stencil, Time for Tea beautiful blender brushes and distress oxide ink to add some interest and colour to the back ground. I coloured the badger with spectrum noir tri-blend pens and put him on some foam pads to give a bit of dimension.

This was such a quick and fun card to make. I hope you are all OK and having a good week so far?

A card and something a little different

I thought I would try something a bit different with my badger stamp set from Crafty Purple Frog. I got this little wooden box and a pyrography set a while ago and felt like it was time to get it back out again.
I stamped the images onto the box and then traced them with the pyrography tool to burn the lines into the box. I am really happy with how it turned out :D
I used the stamp set caller "The sett" for the badger and the little hearts and sentiment are from the "Sentiment sett".

To go with the box I also made a card using the badger from "The sett" I coloured the badger and his champagne in with spectrum noir tri-blends. I added some glossy accents to the champagne glass so it looks shiny. For the background I used the "Top hat" layering stencil along with some distress oxides and beautiful blender brushes. For the sentiment I have used the "Sentiment sett".

Dream Big

This is a little reminder for anyone that needs it....Never be afraid to dream big :)
I do really love this Dream Big sentiment die.
I had a lot of fun with inks and the new Rainbow Beautiful Blender Brushes and the Cosy Sweater stencil when I was making this shaped card.
For the main card itself I used a couple of the Circle Of Love dies. Then I blended Wilted Violet, Worn Lipstick and Fossilized Amber distress inks using the Beautiful Blender Brushes before then adding in some stenciled details using the Cosy Sweater stencil and pumice stone distress oxide. To give it that last touch of sparkle and texture in put a sprinkling of Nuvo drops all over it:)
I hope it brightens up your day today.

I am giving thanks for you all

Hi everyone,

This is DT Amy here :) I am just moved to sunny Whitby this weekend. It has been hectic and tiring but it is done. I am so lucky that there are so many people who helped me make it possible. So my card today is a thanks card. I am so thankful for all of you for your kind words of encouragement as I haven't been able to be around here as much as I wanted to be. You all inspire me so much with all your makes.

For this card I used the super cute Woodland Critters stamp set and the beautiful Autumn Leaves stencil. First I inked through it with some distress ink and the Beautiful Blender Brushes. Then I also used the stencil to emboss the pattern on the kraft card circle. I cut the circle using the Circles Of Love nesting dies. To finish it off I used the Thanks sentiment die and as normal I couldn't resist adding in an action wobble for the foxes little head :D
This stamp set is back in stock in the Time For Tea store and you can get 10% off using my code T4TAMY10

Huge hugs to you all

This new Time For Tea Designs release is snow much fun!

Happy Saturday everyone! Wow! What a week this has been. Have you enjoyed seeing all the new release?? What are your favorites? And who got their orders in yesterday? I am so excited to see what you all create :D

Lets be honest, if you have seen all the new items you would know that I was never going to be able to resist these cute little penguins for long and they work so well with the new display card die I had to team them up :) I started by die cutting the card base and then decided which layers I wanted to use with it. I love that this looks so 3D but folds flat to fit perfectly in a C6 (6"x 4") envelope. I used a beautiful blender brush and a mix of blue print sketch, mermaid lagoon and tumbled glass distress oxides to do the sky in the background and add some depth to the snow.

I coloured all my little penguins and the up with copic markers and then stamped out coloured up some of the little trees from the winter background stamp set to go with them. The sentiments are from the new sentiment strip sets. To just finish it off I added some nuvo drops around which add some glitter and texture to it.

I hope this has made you smile and that you all have a great weekend. Don't forget if you want to grab these little guys or anything else from the Time for Tea Designs store you can use my code T4TAMY10 to get 10% off your order.

Time for Tea Designs Sneak Peek day 1

This is Amy back again for the second time this week to share my make using some of the amazing new November release from Time For Tea Designs. First off just check out this adorable little door! Isn't it so cute! Its called open the door. I knew as soon as I saw it that I wanted to add a little brad as the door handle. I used the brick wall stencil with a beautiful blender brush to add some tea dye and vintage photo distress oxide ink to give the bricks a two toned effect.

Then what is more perfect to be the other side of the door than this caroling mouse from the new caroling critters stamp set. You might also notice a couple of other little things like the paper and some sentiment strips that you will see more of later in the week ;)

There is just so much to show you this week so I hope you are ready for it and don't forget to watch out for the FB lives with the lovely Jo as well so you can see even more of each of the new products. They will all be available from Friday and if you like a bit of a bargain don't forget you can use my code T4TAMY10 to get 10% off your order at the Time For Tea Designs store.
Thank you for reading this and check out the FB page to enjoy the rest of the sneak peeks :)

Time for some Pandamonium!

I am so so so excited this is my first project as DT for Time For Tea Designs so please be kind :) I felt like we all needed something bright and happy with everything that is going on so what better than a panda with googly eye?? OK so I went one better and it's not only a panda with googly eyes its also on an action wobble!! I couldn't resist.

This adorable set of stamps are called Pandamonium Party and in my personal opinion they wont fail to make people smile. I added a tiny bit of shade around their white bits with a light grey triblend marker, Coloured the hat and the balloons with more triblend markers before adding some sparkle with a crafters companion sparkle pen. To make the balloons look shiny with some glossy accents. I used the coordinating dies to cut them all and then added the hats and balloons before fixing on their googly eyes.

For the background I used my time for tea beautiful blender brushes and some distress oxide inks to make this colourful background (I used Wilted Violet, worn lipstick and antique linen) before then adding sparkle using some pineapple delight glacier paste with the starry sky stencil

The squares behind them I cut using the quilted square nesting dies. For the solid square I wanted to add some texture so embossed it using another time for tea stencil called say cheese so the black has some slightly raised spots on it. The sentiment is from the stamp set and the rectangle that it i stamped on is from the coordinating dies. I heat embossed it in white embossing powder to stand out and match with the black and white of the pandas.

I hope this has given you all a little smile and that you are all staying safe and well.

Huge Hugs

GDT for Sweet November

I can not tell you how excited I am to have been asked to be GDT for the incredible Sweet November for the release this week. I have had so much fun with the 2 new little mer tots. For this first card I have used the adorable June Mertot.
I decided to decoupage her as that is something I have not done with an image in ages and I love the way it make her look more 3D. I coloured her with my copics using the following colours:
Skin: E33, E21, E00 + a touch of R81
Hair: V06, R85, R81
Tail: G07, G14, YG03
Fish: Y38, Y02, Y000
As normal for me I had to cover her tail in spectrum noir crystal clear sparkle pen and glossy accents.

I made the background with distress oxide inks (Seedless preserves, Worn lipstick, Squeezed Lemonade) I then flicked some water over my inking and then sprayed some wilted violet distress oxide spray. The Dream big shadow sentiment is from time for tea and the smaller sentiment is from an old Stampin' up! stamp set.

Dream Big

I think I am addicted to this Dream big sentiment die from Time for Tea designs. It could make a great card all on it's own.
I made this inky background at the weekend. I used wilted violet distress oxide ink to make an ombre down the paper. Then I flicked it with some water before adding some wilted violet distress oxide spray over it. I coloured in this adorable super girl from the Heffy Doodle super dudes stamp set with spectrum noir tri-blends. I attached her with an action wobble and then added some nuvo drops all around the card for added dimension.

Whale hello there

Yes you guessed it her is another result of the ink smooshing session the other day For this one I used Tumbled glass, salty ocean and chipped sapphire distress ink :D This one was crying out to be used for some kind of sea theme and I couldn't resist colouring up this beauty and her friend that comes with her. She is another Sweet November digi called Glimmer Surfside and humphrey.
I coloured them with the following copic markers:
Skin: E08, E37, E33, E31
Hair: C7, C5, C3
Tail: G07, G14, YG03
Top: E01
Whale back: C9, C7, C5
Whale belly: C1, C0
As normal for me I couldn't resist adding the spectrum noir crystal clear sparkle pen to her tail after it was coloured and then covering it with glossy accents.

The sentiment is stamped in Chipped Sapphire distress oxide ink and comes from the Heffy Doodle Oceans of love stamp set. Then I used a range of Nuvo drops all around them to add some more sparkle and dimension.

The look out

I am so glad I signed up to the Sweet November email list and this month this amazingly beautiful digi was a freebie just for being signed up. Don't worry as you can still grab her she is called the Look out and while you are there why not sign up so you can get whatever the next freebie is :D

I coloured her with the following copic markers:
Skin: E33, E21, E00
Tail: V06, R85, R81
Hair: Y38, Y17, Y06, Y02
Rock: W5, W3, W1
Water: B00, B000

Of course I couldn't just leave the tail without adding some spectrum noir crystal clear sparkle pen and then covering it with glossy accents :)

I had great fun ink smooshing the background with Seedless preserves, Wilted Violet and dusty concord distress oxide. I haven't done any ink smooshing in ages and had so much fun I did a few backgrounds so expect to see more :D
The sentiment is from the Heffy doodle oceans of love set and the layered banner die is also from Heffy doodle in the tag along die set. To finish it all off I used a range of nuvo drops to create some more sparkle and shine around her.

I am entering this card for the following challenges:

Hello beautiful

I had a lot of fun getting inky making this card. I started by inking the background with wilted violet, mermaid lagoon and tumbled glass distress oxides and then tried out my distress oxide sprays in fossilized amber and wilted violet just to add some more interest to the back ground.
The great big hello sentiment is from Crafters companions script words set and I embossed it in gold embossing powder so it adds some more shine to the card.
Then we go onto the main event which is another stunning mermaid digi from the incredible Sweet november stamps. She is called Sparkle moon drifter and I just love the shape of her and how her hair flows. She was so much fun to colour with my spectrum noir tri-blends and then I couldn't resist adding a mix of nuvo drops to give her tail sparkle and shine.
