Sending you smiles :D

Hello lovely crafty people!

This is Amy coming to you on a different day this week with my Sweet November Stamps DT card due to the fun collab hop with Heffy Doodle that went on on Tuesday. You have until next Tuesday the 26th of March to enter the hop by the way so be sure to click HERE if you haven't already hopped along for your chance to win some great prizes.

Now onto my card for today......This duo are digi stamps from the awesome Sweet November Stamps. they are both from the Midsummer Mushroom Collection and are called Honeycup & Porcini. I just couldn't resist putting them together for this card. I didn't colour either of their mushrooms the colours they would be in real life but for me that is the fun of colouring 😁 You can pick the colours you want.

In the background I used a Sweet November Stamps Scene Builder digi called Brownie Hole and Accessories. The sentiment is from a The Greeting Farm stamp set called Anya Combo 2.

Finally for my layers under my scene I used some green card from Dovecrafts A4 primary colour card pack plus some gold glitter washi tape from the love to craft washi tape collection over at DRK crafts.

I hope you have all had a great week so far and are ready for the weekend.

Huge hugs

Stretch your stash by add stitching to your hand made cards

It's Amy here from Crafty Purple Frog I am so excited to be back as Guest Designer with my second post. Today I have another YouTube video for you. This time stretching your stash and adding stitching in your card making.

Adding some stitching really gives your cards more texture and dimension. And as for the papers the Heffy Doodle summer holiday 6" x 6" paper pad has such fun bright colours in it that it never fails makes me smile. You can see my video for all the details on how I added the stitching to this cute little cow HERE.

For the stitching I again used the Spiin embroidery floss pack from DRK crafts.

My images are coloured in Copic Markers on alcohol marker friendly cardstock using Tuxedo Black Memento ink using the following colours:

Cow body = T8, T6, T3, T1

Udders and nose = E33,E11,E00

Flower = R85, R81, Y13

All the Heffy Doodle goodies that I used were:

The Tutti frutti sparkle mix really brings a touch of shine to the creation as a finishing touch.

Thank you so much for stopping by my blog today. I hope you enjoy the video let me know in the comments what Heffy Doodle stamps you would like to add some stitching to. I am going to have a play making a lions mane next using the Mane squeeze stamp set.

I am entering this card for the following challenges:

Pammies inky pinkies - Anything Goes
A perfect time to craft - Anything Goes

Sweet November Stamps Valentines release YouTube hop

Spiin embroidery floss from DRK crafts. I got the pack of 144 so there are so many options and I also got the needles and the needle threader with the threads that I didn't even realise came in the pack.

This little guy is from the brand new clear stamp release by Sweet November Stamps and this set is called Kitty Cuddles : Sully. You can grab it from my Crafty Purple Frog store HERE for you UK people or direct from Sweet November Stamps HERE and they are based in the US.

Here is a YouTube video showing my colouring and how I added the stitching to this little guy

I used the following copic colours to colour in this little boy and his cat:

Skin: E33, E11, E00
Top:YR07, YR04, Y08
Jeans: B99, B97, B95
Shoes: E25, E23, E21
Cat: W8,W6,W4, E04

When I do this again I will use a thicker card stock or add more tape to the area I am putting the thread in just to strengthen the card a bit more. I would also probably give the area I am adding the thread to a base coat of a colour just to hide some of the gaps and add a bit more depth but I am still so happy with how this turned out :D

I am entering this card for the following challenges:

Crafting from the heart - Anything Goes

Die cutting First Edition craft Vinyl

I have another Christmas in July inspired make for you today. This time I am showcasing the mat-less vinyl from DRK Crafts. I got sent some to play with and used the white, silver and blue to create the tea light holder using a cheap glass I got from the supermarket. And I also upcycled a glass jar that had cooking sauce in it to make a vase. Rather than using a cutting machine as I have not got mine on hand at the moment I used my dies (I used the snowflakes from the falalala Time for tea dies) and die cutting machine to create these.

This is what I learned from die cutting these snowflakes.....

It die cuts easily and it gives a great option for those that don't have an expensive cutting machine. However getting the little unwanted bit out of the dies before you can use them again is a bit annoying and time consuming. Plus you generally can't use the transfer film as the cut shapes can lift with the dies so do not stay on the backing sheet with this method. So the weeding process is harder and of course you need to cut repeated times as can only cut as many as you have the dies for each time. All in all I would prefer to do this sort of project with a cutting machine but am pleased with the results so I hope you like it too.

The glass tealight holder has a fake candle in it and the glass itself was 50p in ASDA.
The "vase" is as you can see a recycled curry sauce jar.

I really enjoyed using this First Edition matless vinyl and can not wait to use it with a cutting machine but this showed me that there are so many more options for how it can be used.

I am entering these makes for the following challenges:
The crafty addicts - Anything Goes
Crafting from the heart - Anything but a card goes
Crafting Happiness - Anything Goes
Pearly Sparkles - Christmas in July

It is time for another create it 3 ways Instagram hop

Hello and welcome to the Create It 3 Ways IG Hop! We are sharing triple the inspiration! This is a monthly hop on every 3rd Saturday at 3 PM ET – please message @amritapettus for more info if you’d like to join us.

This month’s hop theme is summer.
Each month we challenge ourselves by choosing our own category to feature across all 3 cards. I chose to feature a Sweet November Stamps stamp plus use the same First Edition 6x6 Let's celebrate paper pad from DRK Crafts for all my makes.

This adorable little lady is called Quinn. She is from the brand new Sweet November Stamps release that is out just today. You can pick her up in either The Sweet November Stamps shop in the US or from the Crafty Purple Frog shop in the UK.

I have done 3 different things with the stamp I coloured her with copics for this first card.

I coloured her with the following copics:
Skin: E33, E11, E00
Hair: R85, R83, R81
Swimming costume: B02,B01,B00
Ice cream: Bg13, BG23, E43

For this second card I paper pieced the girls swimming costume. To do this I stamped her onto the patterned paper and then cut her swimming costume out and stuck it on top of the copic coloured image.

I coloured her with the following copics:
Skin: E33, E11, E00
Hair: YR24, Y18, Y13
Ice cream: R85, R83, R81, E43

For this last card I have decoupaged her to make her look more 3D. To do this I stamped her out twice. I coloured both in and cut round her head and arm and used foam pads to stick it on top of the first one I had stamped out.

I coloured her with the following copics:
Skin: E33, E11, E00
Hair: E59, E57, E55
Swimming costume: YR24, Y18, Y13
Ice cream: R85, R83, R81, E43

If you like this little girl there are 2 chances to win her and the entire June Sweet November Stamps release by joining a hop over on Instagram CLICK HERE.

Nova paint pens on glass

After the fun I had the other week using these Nova paint pens on tin I thought I would try them out on glass. They worked just as smoothly and I love the final result. Trust me you don't need any real drawing skills to do this yourself.

I am going to put some lavender bath salts in these as gifts.

Here is a little video of how I decorated this glass so you can follow along and make your own :D

I am entering this decorated glass into the following challenges:

Rediscovery hop - Birthday

Hello everyone! With every new month brings rediscovery. Today I am participating in an Instagram Hop highlighting rediscovery. The premise of this hop is to dig through that drawer, route through that hidden pile, or open those bins and find what has been forgotten about. I encourage you to try this and instead of buying new product, take a look at the treasures you already have. This is a monthly hop so if you are interested in joining us, message @craftwithme101 to get all of the information. 🙂

The theme for this months hop is Birthdays. I have had this super cute little fairy from Stamping Bella coloured up for a while now and just knew I had to get her on this card. I have used a beautiful paper from the First Edition "Let's Celebrate" 6x6 pack that you can get for a bargain price of just £1.50 right now over are DRK crafts. I love how this paper has little bits of gold foiling on it so it really adds a nice shine to my card. The pink card is from the Dove craft summer pack and I used it to mat behind my patterned paper and then also used another old craft item the white orbs stencil from Lavinia stamps to emboss those spots onto it.

For the sentiment I used Dove craft A4 smooth metallic card and the happy and birthday dies from Heffy doodle. I think they work well with the touches of gold foil in the patterned paper and add even more shine.

I am entering this card for the following challenges:

Patties creations - Anything goes
Sweet Stampin' - Things with wings
My time to craft - Dry embossing
The fairy and the unicorn - Anything Fantasy goes

Thank you so much for taking the time to look at my blog.

New digi Mermay release from Sweet November Stamps

I was so excited to be asked by the lovely ladies at Sweet November Stamps to join them for this brand new Mermay digi stamp release. These mermaids and their friends are so much fun! This is the very beautiful Ashera

I loved colouring this beauty up with my copics. I used the following copics to colour her:

Hair: R85, R83, R81

Skin: V17, E35, E11

Eyes: BG49, BG05

Tail: W9, W7, W5

For the background I die cut the rectangle with Heffy Doodle Whimsically wonky dies. Then used Meteorite shower nuvo shimmer powder. It is so much fun to use! I tipped a tiny bit onto the paper and then sprayed it with water to get this look. I had to put it under a big book to flatten the background out before I added my mermaid and the sentiment onto it. For the sentiment I used these white foam glitter letter stickers from Simply creative. I then coloured them with an alcohol marker to make them black and keep that glitter showing through.

I am entering this card for the following challenges:

The fairy and the unicorn - Anything Fantasy goes
Gem of a challenge - Anything Goes

Thank you so much for taking the time to look at my blog.

1 item 3 ways challenge

I LOVE making the most of the things I have so when there was the chance to join a hop where we need to use an item 3 ways based on a theme I wanted to join in :)

This month is the first one and the theme was fathers day / creations for the males in our lives. I gave myself a double challenge as used the same Stamping Bella stamp (Daddy's little girl) for all 3 cards and used the same First Edition paper pad Grand Plans for all 3 makes. As a bonus at the moment you can get this 6x6 paper pad for just £1.50 in the DRK crafts sale!!!

I LOVE this First editions Paper pad as it is so perfect for this theme and the bright colours along with the texture that the speciality papers give your make with the glitter and glossy elements really make your project look expensive.

This first card I cut one of the pieces of 6x6 paper diagonally across it and then took the page that is all sentiments cutting the sentiments out separately using this one on this card. Around the edges of the card I have doodled a border.

This second card I used this fun green paper as an extra layer of colour for this card and again I doodled around all the edges.

These fun white glitter foam letters are from Simply creatives alphabet sticker set. and add a great bit of dimension to the card.

For this last card of the three I have fussy cut around one of the design papers cutting around the records and album covers making some of them overlap the frame I have created for the image.

The sentiment for this card is from a set of  Dovecraft stamps called essential general and has 15 general sentiments in the pack that you can find HERE.

I am entering these cards for the following challenges:

As you like it - Girl or Boy : I have gone for boy as I like the challenge
Creative Fingers - Anything goes
Pattie's creations - Anything Goes
Creative Inspiration - Anything Goes
C.R.A.F.T. - Anything goes
