Just roll with it

Sometimes in life we just have to roll with what we get thrown our way. I just hope that I can have as much fun rolling with it as this Skateboard Kate is having. This fun stamp is from the brilliant Moonlight Whispers - Illustrations by Annie Rodrigue and you can get her direct from the Moonlight Whispers store (in Canada) or from the Crafty Purple Frog store here in the UK. I kept my card for her very simple and just added a sentiment from another Moonlight Whispers Stamp set called "Rollin' back to the 90's" as I wanted her to really pop.

Who would like a free digi stamp?? :D

Have you seen the brilliant fun challenge that has been set by Moonlight Whispers? All you need to do is make something using one of the Moonlight Whispers images (old or new) inspired by the colour combination you can see in the second picture here.

As an amazing bonus you can also get the fun quirky digi stamp that is the inspiration image for this colour combination for FREE HERE in the moonlight Whispers store. So if you don't have any Moonlight Whispers images yet why not grab this one for free and be in with the chance to win a voucher to spend in the Moonlight Whispers store.
Your entry has to be in by July 19th. So what are you waiting for. Get creating and have some fun 😃
This is my take on it using a clear stamp called "A little bit of grog" You can grab her from the Moonlight Whispers store that is based in Canada or from the Crafty Purple Frog store here in the UK.

I love your heART

I am so excited to be taking part in the Heffy Doodle Fan hop 2021 over on Instagram.
There are so many incredible creations from all the people taking part so if you haven't seen them you can join the hop from the very lovely @jasmincraftymakes

For my card I have used some of the new Heffy Doodles release. The pencil heart is a die set and I used it to cut both the pencils and the window in the front of the card. I coloured the pencils with copics as shown in the picture below.

I used the Pandtastic pandas stamps to stamp all over the front of my card blank and left them uncoloured so that the heart stands out more. The sentiment is also from this stamp set and I stamped it onto black card before embossing it with white Wow! superfine embossing powder. I couldn't resist stamping 2 of those little pandas so that they could be both on the inside and outside of the card. I had to trim one of his legs just slightly so that they lined up but I don't think you can tell :D

I hope you are having a good day and thank you so much for taking the time to look at my make :D

Summer feel

I have definitely been feeling the summer vibes with the hot weather we have had here in the UK. And I made this card using the turtles from the Turtley Awesome stamp set as they just scream summer to me :D I coloured them up with copics before putting them on with some foam pads to add a bit of dimension.

For the back ground I did some tone on tone ink blending and then did some more inking through the She sells sea shells stencil to give another layer and pattern to the background. I used squeezed lemonade, mustard seed and Fossilised Amber distress oxide inks for my stencilling. I used an oval die to cut in the middle of  my inked panel to create an oval for this card and leave me with a frame that I can use on another card. I sprayed the card blank with Salvaged Patina distress ink stain. The seniment is a combination of the sunshine die from Heffy Doodle and a hello stamp from Sweet Dixie's Big sentiments set.

June mertot meets Lavinia stamps

There is now a whole range of Lavinia stamps in the Crafty Purple Frog shop and I thought why not try and mix them up with the super cute June Mertot from Sweet November stamps. I started by doing my background using the seaweed 2 and sea bubbles stamps with some green Altenew inks and then used a yellow altenew ink and the lightest blue ink I had to ink around the edges of the card.
The adorable June mertot digi I coloured with the following Copic markers:

Skin: E33, E21, E00
Hair: E49, E57, E55, E31
Fish friend: G17, G07, G14
Tail: YR07, YR15, Y08, Y02

I also added Spectrum noir crystal clear sparkle pen to her tail so its really sparkly :D

The big hello sentiment is from Crafters companions script words set and I embossed it in gold embossing powder so it stands out more and adds shine to the card.

GDT for Sweet November

I can not tell you how excited I am to have been asked to be GDT for the incredible Sweet November for the release this week. I have had so much fun with the 2 new little mer tots. For this first card I have used the adorable June Mertot.
I decided to decoupage her as that is something I have not done with an image in ages and I love the way it make her look more 3D. I coloured her with my copics using the following colours:
Skin: E33, E21, E00 + a touch of R81
Hair: V06, R85, R81
Tail: G07, G14, YG03
Fish: Y38, Y02, Y000
As normal for me I had to cover her tail in spectrum noir crystal clear sparkle pen and glossy accents.

I made the background with distress oxide inks (Seedless preserves, Worn lipstick, Squeezed Lemonade) I then flicked some water over my inking and then sprayed some wilted violet distress oxide spray. The Dream big shadow sentiment is from time for tea and the smaller sentiment is from an old Stampin' up! stamp set.

Whale hello there

Yes you guessed it her is another result of the ink smooshing session the other day For this one I used Tumbled glass, salty ocean and chipped sapphire distress ink :D This one was crying out to be used for some kind of sea theme and I couldn't resist colouring up this beauty and her friend that comes with her. She is another Sweet November digi called Glimmer Surfside and humphrey.
I coloured them with the following copic markers:
Skin: E08, E37, E33, E31
Hair: C7, C5, C3
Tail: G07, G14, YG03
Top: E01
Whale back: C9, C7, C5
Whale belly: C1, C0
As normal for me I couldn't resist adding the spectrum noir crystal clear sparkle pen to her tail after it was coloured and then covering it with glossy accents.

The sentiment is stamped in Chipped Sapphire distress oxide ink and comes from the Heffy Doodle Oceans of love stamp set. Then I used a range of Nuvo drops all around them to add some more sparkle and dimension.

You're a treasure

I have lots of people that I could send this to right now. Friends are so important and this whole thing I think really shows how much people are there for each other even when we can't be physically there. This adorable March Mertot is a digi from Sweet November stamps. If you haven't checked out their store yet then you are missing out. There is a growing range of adorable images from the incredibly talented Amy Young. Don't forget to sign up to the newsletter to be kept in the loop for all the updates and special offers as well while you are looking around their store.

I coloured her with copics using the following colours:
Hair: RV69, R59, R27, R17
Skin: E31, E21, E00
Tail: 100, C7, C5, C3, C1
Top:G28, G17, G14
treasure chest: E49, E37, E35 + Y17, Y06, Y11
Sand: E35, YR31
Water: B000

I also added Spectrum noir crystal clear sparkle pen and glossy accents to her tail so its really sparkly and shiny.

I used a mix of papers again for this card The red keys paper is from Dovecrafts folkland set and the blue seahorses are from the First edition Beyond the shore paper set. I added some further texture with Nuvo gold drops and the sentiment which I embossed with gold wow! embossing powder is from Create a smile all hands on deck stamp set.

Possitive vibes

This little guy just makes me feel so happy and summery. This whole Gnome matter what set is just so cute. I coloured this one with my Nuvo alcohol markers. The background I made by cutting a rectangle out of white card with the stitched rectangle die then using the grassy lass die cut to cut the grass shape across it. Next I inked the sky half in Mermaid lagoon and a touch of faded jeans and the grass half in twisted citron with a touch of mowed lawn distress oxides. Finally I put them back together and layered them on another piece of white card then black card again which I cut using the stitched rectangle dies.

The sentiment is from the Heffy Doodle whatcha saying now? set and I cut the speach bubble from the coordinating die set. For a finishing touch I added the nuvo drops right across the whole card.

I am entering this card for the following challenges:

Coffee Helps

I created the background for this card using the Time for tea scene it stencil. For the grass I used twisted citron and mowed lawn distress inks and picked raspberry and wilted violet distress inks for the clouds.
The sentiment from Stamping Bella just cried out to be used with this adorable greetings farm Miss Anya coffee break stamp. I coloured her with spectrum noir tri-blend pens and then added some sparkle to the heart on her top with a spectrum noir crystal clear sparkle pen and then some glossy accents on her glasses.
To finish off the background I added some nuvo drops.

Green, Blue and purple scattered hearts

I am so in love with the dream big sentiment. I layered up the blue and purple cuts I did from the scattered hearts die and slightly off set them so that you can just see the purple peeking from under the blue. What better to go with this sentiment than a super cute unicorn from the unicorn in training stamp set.

I am entering this card for the following challenges:
Word art Wednesday - Anything goes

For this one I went tone on tone. I love the way this turned out. I used the green scattered hearts die cut and backed it on the same green card. I think the subtle texture this gives shows off this moo-vellous highland cow. I gave it a pop of colour with the Time for tea design rainbow brights essentials paper.
The frame is from the smile and scalloped frame die set. I cut two of the smaller frames and chopped the second one up to make some scalloped borders either side of the spotty design paper.

I am entering this card for the following challenges:
Make my Monday - Tone on tone background

Orange and yellow scattered hearts

Orange is not normally a colour that I use but I was determined to use up all the rainbow pieces I cut our with the scattered heart die as they were too nice to go to waste. I noticed that the hearts could fit in different gaps and make more of a pattern and I already had this lovely mermaid from the Mermazing stamp set coloured up using spectrum noir illustrator pens. This time I covered the thanks shadow die in couple of layers of gold Wow! embossing powder.

I am entering this card for the following challenges:

Crafty gals corner - For the ladies

Then the yellow one was calling to be used with the mice. Who doesn't love a grey and yellow combo?? I coloured the adorable mouse from the baked with love stamp set with spectrum noir illustrator pens. I stamped the background with the cheese stamps using mustard seed distress oxide. Then to finish it I added some English mustard nuvo drops.

April Mer tot

This adorable little April Mer tot by Sweet November is another great digi. I am loving digi's at the moment as I like that I do not have to wait for the post. I can just buy them and get colouring :D
This cute little one I coloured up with my copics using the following colours;
Skin: E31, E21, E00 (R81 for her tongue)
Hair: E35, Y17, Y15, Y11, Y00
Tail and top: B39, B29, B24, B12

I then added some night sky, midnight blue and sea breeze nuvo drops to her tail to give some dimension. The paper is from a mix of First edition beyond the shore and Dovecrafts Folkland packs. I hand drew some dots around the edges and then added some more Night sky nuvo drops just to finish it off.

Toucan do this

I am so in love with these toucans from Time for tea designs and I just couldn't resist doing a bit of a CAS card to show them off. I have coloured them with copics and then mounted them on foam pads so they stand out a bit more. The cloudy back ground was made with the time for tea scene it stencil and the frame is from the time for tea smile sentiment and scalloped frame die set.

The sentiment is also from the Toucan do this stamp set and then just to make it look a little bit less open I added a few Sea breeze nuvo drops.

Fairy fun

This is the first time I have made a shadow box card and I have to say that I loved it! I used the Time for tea box clever die to give me the base and the layers in between and it made the whole thing so easy to do. I love how it looks like a little scene.

OK so for this I used a range of other time for tea goodies as well, The super cute fairies and mushroom house are from the Fairy garden stamp set and then I added some extra little mushrooms and flowers from the Hip hop hooray stamp set. I coloured them all with Spectrum noir tri-blends and fussy cut them all out. For the shadow box itself I used the Scene it stencil to do the sky and tumbled glass distress oxide. The grass I used a Heffy doodle grassy lass die to cut the grass shape and then inked it with a mix of twisted citron and mowed lawn distress oxide.

I am entering this card for the following challenges:

Hope to sea you soon

I could send this card to so many people at the moment. I am really loving having the extra time to be able to craft but I am missing seeing people too. I hope you are all keeping safe.
For this card I have used a whole range of fun Heffy Doodle products. The back ground I inked with tumbled glass, mermaid lagoon and blueprint sketch distress oxides through the bubble waves stencil
The shaker itself I made using the tag along die. This die makes shakers so simple as you can just cut the front, back, acetate and I even used it to cut the foam frame so it all fitted together perfectly!
The adorable shark is from the oceans of love stamp set as is the sentiment. For the background in the shaker I again did some ink blending with the same colours but this time I used the rays the roof stencil before adding all my little shaker bits. I coloured the shark with Nuvo markers.

I cut one of the thinnest stitched strips of ease and embossed my sentiment on it with some opaque bright white Wow! embossing powder then finished the whole card off by adding a few gold coast nuvo drops

For my card I have coloured the stunning Jewel Eboncave. I coloured her with Spectrum noir illustrator pens and then added little Hootie the puffer fish so she has some friends around.
For extra colour and sparkle I ink blended with some distress oxides and then used Heffy Doodles bubble wave stencil and glimmer paste to add some sparkle. To finish it off I have used some nuvo drops to add a bit more texture.

Bookworm

Other than crafting I don't think there is anything else I would rather get lost in than a book. I love the way you can be transported to another place. What are your favorite books? I always like recommendations so hit me with them :)
I think my favorites are  Philip Pullmans "Dark Materials" trilogy. I can not tell you how excited I am that the BBC is doing an adaption of them on at the moment. It is so much better than the film.

Anyway onto my card. I made this one at the Crafty Purple Frog getaway and we were lucky enough to have Kraftin'  Kimmie and Trimcraft donate our little group some very yummy goodies to use over the week.
This stamp set is called "Girl Power" you get two great characters in the set as well as some fitting sentiments. I have made something with the other girl as well so watch this space :)
I coloured my bookworm with the following tri-blend markers:
Skin: Fair Skin Blend
Hair: Ice Blue Blend
Jumper, glasses and trousers: Ice Grey Shades
Shoes and top: Bright Pink Shades
Bag: Dull Green Blend and Light Green Blend
Book: Red Brown Blend
Ground: Red Brown Blend

The paper is from First Edition and was part of some samples that Trimcraft kindly sent us. The paper are called wonderlust and this one is foiled and stunning. As normal for me to finish the card I added some nuvo drops to add a bit of dimension and texture.
