Time for a me day I think

I am taking some time out today to be able to do some crafting. It has snowed a little bit here again but not settled and the rain that followed it has insured that there is no white left to be seen.

I am still loving these snow men from the very talented Amy Young of Sweet November Stamps though. They really do bring a smile to my face :)

I have teamed this one from the Drop it like it's cold stamp set with a die called It's Your Day from Time for tea designs. I also used one of the new Time for Tea stencils in the back ground to add a few stars to distress my inking. The stencil is called Falling Stars and I used Squeezed Lemonade distress ink along with a beautiful blender brush to colour up the white paper.

As normal for me I have finished the card by adding some sparkle and texture with some Nuvo drops. And I added the little raccoon on to the card with an action wobble just to give an extra fun element to it :D

I am giving thanks for you all

Hi everyone,

This is DT Amy here :) I am just moved to sunny Whitby this weekend. It has been hectic and tiring but it is done. I am so lucky that there are so many people who helped me make it possible. So my card today is a thanks card. I am so thankful for all of you for your kind words of encouragement as I haven't been able to be around here as much as I wanted to be. You all inspire me so much with all your makes.

For this card I used the super cute Woodland Critters stamp set and the beautiful Autumn Leaves stencil. First I inked through it with some distress ink and the Beautiful Blender Brushes. Then I also used the stencil to emboss the pattern on the kraft card circle. I cut the circle using the Circles Of Love nesting dies. To finish it off I used the Thanks sentiment die and as normal I couldn't resist adding in an action wobble for the foxes little head :D
This stamp set is back in stock in the Time For Tea store and you can get 10% off using my code T4TAMY10

Huge hugs to you all

Time for some Pandamonium!

I am so so so excited this is my first project as DT for Time For Tea Designs so please be kind :) I felt like we all needed something bright and happy with everything that is going on so what better than a panda with googly eye?? OK so I went one better and it's not only a panda with googly eyes its also on an action wobble!! I couldn't resist.

This adorable set of stamps are called Pandamonium Party and in my personal opinion they wont fail to make people smile. I added a tiny bit of shade around their white bits with a light grey triblend marker, Coloured the hat and the balloons with more triblend markers before adding some sparkle with a crafters companion sparkle pen. To make the balloons look shiny with some glossy accents. I used the coordinating dies to cut them all and then added the hats and balloons before fixing on their googly eyes.

For the background I used my time for tea beautiful blender brushes and some distress oxide inks to make this colourful background (I used Wilted Violet, worn lipstick and antique linen) before then adding sparkle using some pineapple delight glacier paste with the starry sky stencil

The squares behind them I cut using the quilted square nesting dies. For the solid square I wanted to add some texture so embossed it using another time for tea stencil called say cheese so the black has some slightly raised spots on it. The sentiment is from the stamp set and the rectangle that it i stamped on is from the coordinating dies. I heat embossed it in white embossing powder to stand out and match with the black and white of the pandas.

I hope this has given you all a little smile and that you are all staying safe and well.

Huge Hugs

Hogs and kisses

Have you seen this adorable new hogs and kisses stamp set from Time for Tea designs? It is just so perfect for a whole load of occasions and I new I wanted to team it up with their Speech bubble stamp set as well. I stamped the missing you speech bubble in grey Catherine Pooler ink all over the card and used the ink to make a perfectly colour matched layer to use for my matting and layering by inking the edges. I added a mix of nuvo glitter drops to add some sparkle and a pop of colour :D

Dream Big

I think I am addicted to this Dream big sentiment die from Time for Tea designs. It could make a great card all on it's own.
I made this inky background at the weekend. I used wilted violet distress oxide ink to make an ombre down the paper. Then I flicked it with some water before adding some wilted violet distress oxide spray over it. I coloured in this adorable super girl from the Heffy Doodle super dudes stamp set with spectrum noir tri-blends. I attached her with an action wobble and then added some nuvo drops all around the card for added dimension.

Interactive fun

This little alien has been crying out to be part of an interactive card for way too long. So I have finally got him onto one. This card was so much fun to make. I have coloured all the elements which are from a mix of Heffy doodle Spaced out and You're weird stamp sets with spectrum noir tri-blend markers and used the coordinating dies for the you're weird and spaced out sets to cut them out. Then I added glossy accents to the port hole on the space ship and covered the earth in glossy accents. I gave the alien a googly eye and fixed the space ship on an action wobble to give some more dimension.

For the back ground I used a mix of squeezed lemonade and fossilized amber distress oxides and then used the stargazer background die to cut the stars out of a piece of dark blue card. For a little added something I also used a crystal clear sparkle pen to add some shine to the blue card. I really hope this card makes you smile :)

I am entering it for the following challenges:

Love you to the moon and back

I am loving making backgrounds using the ink smushing technique. For this one I covered a whole back ground for the card to make it look like outer space. I used Squeezed Lemonade, tumbled glass, salty ocean, blue print sketch and Black soot distress oxides

I also added a lot of sparkle to the entire background by flicking wink of stella all over it and then putting some yellow bird glitter gem drops and for that extra special touch I also added some Banana split glow in the dark gem drops, so when the lights go out this card still stands out.
I have combined two of the new Heffy Doodle stamp sets for this card. The cute little spaceman and space ship are from the "Spaced out" stamp set. The sentiment and Moon are from the "You're weird" stamp set.
They have been coloured with the following spectrum noir tri-blends:
Moon: Ice grey
Space ship: Orange, Citrus green and Ice grey
Spaceman: Orange, Earth brown, fair skin and Ice grey

I put the space man on a action wobble so he looks like he is really moving in space.

Hello sunshine!

Wow! the weather here in the UK is amazing today. I can't believe it is a bank holiday weekend and there is actually sun :D
I hope you are all having a good weekend.

I got some time to craft and have been playing with some of the newest Heffy Doodle release. I am loving this "Hello" die. I couldn't resist the "You're weird" stamp set when I saw it and the moon and this little cutie were just calling out to be coloured. I coloured the moon and the little space critter with Spectrum Noir tri-blend markers. I have to say they are a lot easier to carry a set of around than the spectrum noir illustrators.
I used the following markers for this make:
Moon -  Brown Grey
Critter - Ice Grey and blue turquoise.

For the background I used 3 distress oxides, Tumbled glass, Peacock feathers and Chipped sapphire. I spritzed them and then added some dots of sparkle with a wink of stella brush pen. Then I mounted that on some navy blue card. The Hello I cut twice, once in white and then in the navy blue. The white die cut I added some more distress oxides to. I used Squeezed lemonade and fosilized amber to give it some colour, and then layered the inked one on top of the navy one slightly off center so that it looks like a shadow. I also added a touch of wink of stella to it for that bit more sparkle. For the finishing touch I put the little space critter on an action wobble so he moves around :D

I am entering this card for the following challenges:
Colour crazy challenge - Anything goes
Aud sentiment - Masculine and a sentiment

I was going to throw the left overs from the navy blue Hello die away when I got inspired by the weather to make this next card. I used some white card that I again added some sqeezed lemonade distress oxide to just so it isn't such a bright white and has a bit of texture. Then I stuck the negative image of the Hello to it. Using a white pen I added some dots around the word and a frame. The back ground I went for 3 distress oxides ( squeezed lemonade, mustard seed and spiced marmalade) to ink through the "rays the roof" stencil. I finished the sentiment by using part of one of the sentiment in the "Quack me up" stamp set stamped in chipped sapphire distress oxide. The Hello sentiment I put on with foam pads so it stands out a bit from the rest of the card.
I hope you like both my creations and follow my little blog.
