How are you doing friend?

I really love playing with this badger from Crafty Purple Frogs The Sett stamp set and cropping it to just his face and neck gave me this idea. The sentiment is from the Heffy Doddle Close at heart sentiment set.  For the back ground I masked off the bottom of the card and then used the Heffy Doodle Circles of life stencil, Time for Tea beautiful blender brushes and distress oxide ink to add some interest and colour to the back ground. I coloured the badger with spectrum noir tri-blend pens and put him on some foam pads to give a bit of dimension.

This was such a quick and fun card to make. I hope you are all OK and having a good week so far?

Dancing is magic

I so wish I could dance. I love music and seeing how some lucky people can move to it so seemingly effortlessly is mesmerising to me. This pretty little fairy is from the new Sweet November Stamps release. There is also an Insta hop going on this weekend where you can win her and the rest of the release by hopping along.

I have coloured this little cutie Odette with spectrum noir tri-blend markers and used the sentiment that comes with her. I then did some ink splattering over the background using Altenew Pinkalicious and Fresh lemon crisp dye inks before adding just a touch of texture and sparkle with some Nuvo drops. I wanted to keep this little 4x4 card quite CAS to really show her off :)

Hi Gnomies

There is a new release from Sweet November and it has just hit the Sweet November shop for all you US people and the Crafty Purple Frog store for any UK/ this side of the pond peeps :D

There are Gnomes, fairies and awesome scene builder stamp sets in this their biggest release yet. For my project I have combined a few of the stamp sets to create this little box. I wanted to do something a bit different to a card and thought I would also try out my neglected Posca pens. So the whole thing is coloured with poscas :)

The scenery in the background if from the Horizon lines spring stamp set, The mushrooms including the adorable mushroom house is from the Gneal and Gnorah stamp set and the sentiment is from the Gned and Gnina stamp set. I really love the way that you can mix and match all these sets to create some seriously cute scenes.

Pretty Pansy

How gorgeous are these "Pretty Pansy" stamps from Altenew??  I really love the way these layer up to create a pansy which has so much of a punch. I don't know about you but I really love seeing all the little pansies show up each year :D  For these ones I have used dew drops, aqualicious and teal cave a touch of Maple Yellow Altenew crisp dye inks and black Memento ink for my pansies.

I wanted to give the back ground some interest so I stamps some more of the leaves all over it in firefly and Grass field Altenew crisp dye ink. Then added a little shine by splattering some Nuvo Wild Olive mica mist. The sentiment is from the Altenew Build - A - Flower: Dahlia stamp set.

Altenew Academy

In case you haven't seen yet not only do Altenew do incredible crafting supplies but they also offer online classes! They have a whole section called Altenew Academy where you can find a range of classes to inspire you. Here is one of makes I have put together for the All about layering 2 class which right now are free. They go through the basics of whole to line up your Altenew layering stamps and then how to add them together to make some stunning and beautiful projects.

For this card I used "Peony Bouquet" stamps along with Soft Lilac, lavender fields and deep iris Altenew Crisp dye inks for the flowers. For the leaves I used Firefly, grass field and Shadow Creek Altenew Crisp dye inks. In the background I used some of the Altenew washi tape. I added a touch of texture and sparkle with a few nuvo drops. The sentiment is from the build - a- flower: Dahlia stamp set. I have layered some of the flowers up on foam pads to add a bit of dimension.

Fabulously floral

I have been really enjoying playing with some Altenew goodies over the the last couple of days. I love the way the layering stamps make it so easy to create a realistic shading effect on the beautiful blooms.

This is the first card I have finished using the "Build-a-flower Dahlia" stamps.

I stamped a few of the flowers following the layering guide using Pink diamond, Pinkalicious and Rubellite Altenew crisp dye inks. Then layer stamped the leaves using Firefly and then Grass field. The co-ordinating dies made these really easy to cut out so I could then play around moving all the pieces until I was happy with the way it looked. The sentiment is also from the same stamp set and I used the new distress ink colour Kitsch Flamingo oxide spray and Nuvo's Wild Olive mica mist to do some ink splattering over the card before I drew a border and stuck my flower/ leaves down. To finish it all off I added some sparkle with a few Nuvo drops.

I am entering this card for the following challenges:
A bit more time to craft - Anything goes
The crafters Cafe -  Anything goes
Cards galore encore - Anything goes
My besties international - Anything goes
