The look out

I am so glad I signed up to the Sweet November email list and this month this amazingly beautiful digi was a freebie just for being signed up. Don't worry as you can still grab her she is called the Look out and while you are there why not sign up so you can get whatever the next freebie is :D

I coloured her with the following copic markers:
Skin: E33, E21, E00
Tail: V06, R85, R81
Hair: Y38, Y17, Y06, Y02
Rock: W5, W3, W1
Water: B00, B000

Of course I couldn't just leave the tail without adding some spectrum noir crystal clear sparkle pen and then covering it with glossy accents :)

I had great fun ink smooshing the background with Seedless preserves, Wilted Violet and dusty concord distress oxide. I haven't done any ink smooshing in ages and had so much fun I did a few backgrounds so expect to see more :D
The sentiment is from the Heffy doodle oceans of love set and the layered banner die is also from Heffy doodle in the tag along die set. To finish it all off I used a range of nuvo drops to create some more sparkle and shine around her.

I am entering this card for the following challenges:
Colour crazy challenge - Any thing goes
Creative fingers - Anything goes
Your next stamp - sparkle and shine
As you like it - Favorite embelishment (nuvo drops because they are so versatile and add great sparkle and shine)

Hello beautiful

I had a lot of fun getting inky making this card. I started by inking the background with wilted violet, mermaid lagoon and tumbled glass distress oxides and then tried out my distress oxide sprays in fossilized amber and wilted violet just to add some more interest to the back ground.
The great big hello sentiment is from Crafters companions script words set and I embossed it in gold embossing powder so it adds some more shine to the card.
Then we go onto the main event which is another stunning mermaid digi from the incredible Sweet november stamps. She is called Sparkle moon drifter and I just love the shape of her and how her hair flows. She was so much fun to colour with my spectrum noir tri-blends and then I couldn't resist adding a mix of nuvo drops to give her tail sparkle and shine.

Possitive vibes

This little guy just makes me feel so happy and summery. This whole Gnome matter what set is just so cute. I coloured this one with my Nuvo alcohol markers. The background I made by cutting a rectangle out of white card with the stitched rectangle die then using the grassy lass die cut to cut the grass shape across it. Next I inked the sky half in Mermaid lagoon and a touch of faded jeans and the grass half in twisted citron with a touch of mowed lawn distress oxides. Finally I put them back together and layered them on another piece of white card then black card again which I cut using the stitched rectangle dies.

The sentiment is from the Heffy Doodle whatcha saying now? set and I cut the speach bubble from the coordinating die set. For a finishing touch I added the nuvo drops right across the whole card.

Then of course I had to add some little nuvo drops to the holly berries.

The paper is from First editions Jolly Christmas paper pad and the sentiment I cut using Heffy Doodle stitched strips of ease and the sentiment itself is from Heffy Doodles Warm hugs stamp set.
I have no idea why I am suddenly in a bit of a Christmas mood but it can only be a good thing and save on my panic later in the year if I have got a few made now I guess.

My first Christmas card of the year

I can't really believe I have made a Christmas card already and in this heat! This Kraftin' Kimmie Fox really spoke to me though. My Nan's maiden name was Fox so they are kinda a special animal for me :)
This little dude is from the Furry Holiday Wishes stamp set and the sentiment comes from the same set. I coloured him up with the following copic markers:
Fur:YR27, YR68, YR15 + E41 on tip of tail/ under chin
In ears: YR61
Jumper: G7, G14, YG03
Shorts: C9, C7, C3
Candy cane: R59, R29 + B00, B000

I wanted the fox to be the standout of this card so kept the background quite simple. I used the starfall stencil from Heffy Doodle with some Golden Era Nuvo Glacier paste on some dark blue card stock then tore a piece of white card to give a sort of snow mound for him to be standing on. For a little bit of extra sparkle and dimension I put in a few sequins.

I am entering this card for the following challenges:
The Holly and the ivy - Anything Christmas goes
A place to start - Make your own background
Artsy stamper - It's a guy thing
Path of positivity - Furry or feathery friends
Fab n' Funky - Christmas

Interactive fun

This little alien has been crying out to be part of an interactive card for way too long. So I have finally got him onto one. This card was so much fun to make. I have coloured all the elements which are from a mix of Heffy doodle Spaced out and You're weird stamp sets with spectrum noir tri-blend markers and used the coordinating dies for the you're weird and spaced out sets to cut them out. Then I added glossy accents to the port hole on the space ship and covered the earth in glossy accents. I gave the alien a googly eye and fixed the space ship on an action wobble to give some more dimension.

For the back ground I used a mix of squeezed lemonade and fossilized amber distress oxides and then used the stargazer background die to cut the stars out of a piece of dark blue card. For a little added something I also used a crystal clear sparkle pen to add some shine to the blue card. I really hope this card makes you smile :)

To frame her I created this background with the scene it stencil from Time for tea designs. I used Twisted citron, spun sugar, worn lipstick and picked raspberry distress oxide inks.
For the sentiment I used the time for tea unicorn in training stamp set and then embossed it with Wow! ebony embossing powder.

I coloured her with spectrum noir tri-blend pens and then added some sparkle to the heart on her top with a spectrum noir crystal clear sparkle pen and then some glossy accents on her glasses.

You are awesome

I love these super cute Gull gang stamp set. I coloured these cutie up with spectrum noir illustrator pens. Then I used some scraps I had from another inked background I did. For it I used the Wave to me stencil which I inked through with a mix of tumbled glass, mermaid lagoon and blueprint sketch oxide inks. For the main back ground I wanted to add some texture so used an old sizzix embossing folder. The sentiment is from Heffy Doodles whatcha saying now? sentiment set.

Ink blending scattered hearts

For this one I got ink blending. I used Spun sugar, worn lipstick and Picked raspberry distress oxide inks and taylored expressions ink blending brushes. Then I cut it using the scattered heart background plate die. I didn't want to distract from the ink blending so I just  backed it on grey card and added a the thanks sentiment which I covered in white embossing powder. To finish it off I added some sherbert shimmer nuvo drops

Green, Blue and purple scattered hearts

I am so in love with the dream big sentiment. I layered up the blue and purple cuts I did from the scattered hearts die and slightly off set them so that you can just see the purple peeking from under the blue. What better to go with this sentiment than a super cute unicorn from the unicorn in training stamp set.

I am entering this card for the following challenges:
Word art Wednesday - Anything goes

For this one I went tone on tone. I love the way this turned out. I used the green scattered hearts die cut and backed it on the same green card. I think the subtle texture this gives shows off this moo-vellous highland cow. I gave it a pop of colour with the Time for tea design rainbow brights essentials paper.
The frame is from the smile and scalloped frame die set. I cut two of the smaller frames and chopped the second one up to make some scalloped borders either side of the spotty design paper.

Make my Monday - Tone on tone background

Orange and yellow scattered hearts

Orange is not normally a colour that I use but I was determined to use up all the rainbow pieces I cut our with the scattered heart die as they were too nice to go to waste. I noticed that the hearts could fit in different gaps and make more of a pattern and I already had this lovely mermaid from the Mermazing stamp set coloured up using spectrum noir illustrator pens. This time I covered the thanks shadow die in couple of layers of gold Wow! embossing powder.

I am entering this card for the following challenges:

Then the yellow one was calling to be used with the mice. Who doesn't love a grey and yellow combo?? I coloured the adorable mouse from the baked with love stamp set with spectrum noir illustrator pens. I stamped the background with the cheese stamps using mustard seed distress oxide. Then to finish it I added some English mustard nuvo drops.

A rainbow of Scattered hearts

I have had so much fun playing with this Scattered hearts die from Time for Tea. I will split this into a few posts but I wanted to use it in a range of different ways.
So first off I cut it out of a rainbow of coloured card. I inlaid some hearts from each colour into the black background plate. Then I added the time for tea Thanks shadow sentiment on top of it. It took a while to find all the right sized hearts to fit back into the die but I totally think it was worth it :D

Next I used some of the hearts that were left over to make into little butterflies. I hand cut some bodies for them. For the background I stamped out the thanks a bunch flowers in Mustard seed distress oxide.

This adorable little April Mer tot by Sweet November is another great digi. I am loving digi's at the moment as I like that I do not have to wait for the post. I can just buy them and get colouring :D

Toucan do this

I am so in love with these toucans from Time for tea designs and I just couldn't resist doing a bit of a CAS card to show them off. I have coloured them with copics and then mounted them on foam pads so they stand out a bit more. The cloudy back ground was made with the time for tea scene it stencil and the frame is from the time for tea smile sentiment and scalloped frame die set.

The sentiment is also from the Toucan do this stamp set and then just to make it look a little bit less open I added a few Sea breeze nuvo drops.

Time for some sparkle with Tide Mayfin

I saw this beauty from Sweet November that was released last week and I just had to have her. I got the chance to play with my copics yesterday and I am falling more in love with both the copics and the Sweet November digi's the more time I spend playing with them :D
I coloured Tide Mayfin with the following copics:
Skin: E33, E21, E00
Hair: E49, E59, E37, E35, E31
Tail: BV08, V09, V06, V04, V15, V01
Fish:Y17, Y06, Y11
Top: Y00
Background: BG01, B000

After colouring her I added some sparkle to her tail with a spectrum noir crystal clear sparkle pen. Then to make it even more sparkly and shiny I covered it with glossy accents.

The pretty paper is from the Beyond the shore First Edition paper pack. I cut around my image with Heffy Doodles stitched rectangles to give it a bit of interest around the edges. The brilliant thanks shadow die is from Time for tea I have covered it with a few layers of fairy tale Wow! Embossing powder.

Fairy fun

This is the first time I have made a shadow box card and I have to say that I loved it! I used the Time for tea box clever die to give me the base and the layers in between and it made the whole thing so easy to do. I love how it looks like a little scene.

OK so for this I used a range of other time for tea goodies as well, The super cute fairies and mushroom house are from the Fairy garden stamp set and then I added some extra little mushrooms and flowers from the Hip hop hooray stamp set. I coloured them all with Spectrum noir tri-blends and fussy cut them all out. For the shadow box itself I used the Scene it stencil to do the sky and tumbled glass distress oxide. The grass I used a Heffy doodle grassy lass die to cut the grass shape and then inked it with a mix of twisted citron and mowed lawn distress oxide.

I am entering this card for the following challenges:

Hope to sea you soon

I could send this card to so many people at the moment. I am really loving having the extra time to be able to craft but I am missing seeing people too. I hope you are all keeping safe.
For this card I have used a whole range of fun Heffy Doodle products. The back ground I inked with tumbled glass, mermaid lagoon and blueprint sketch distress oxides through the bubble waves stencil
The shaker itself I made using the tag along die. This die makes shakers so simple as you can just cut the front, back, acetate and I even used it to cut the foam frame so it all fitted together perfectly!
The adorable shark is from the oceans of love stamp set as is the sentiment. For the background in the shaker I again did some ink blending with the same colours but this time I used the rays the roof stencil before adding all my little shaker bits. I coloured the shark with Nuvo markers.

I cut one of the thinnest stitched strips of ease and embossed my sentiment on it with some opaque bright white Wow! embossing powder then finished the whole card off by adding a few gold coast nuvo drops
