Owl be there

This is a 5 x 7 card and the background for this card is done with one beautiful die called Star gazer backdrop by Heffy Doodle. It cuts the stars out and gives it a stitched outline. I cut it out of white card and then inked it with the following distress inks Chipped sapphire, Salty Ocean. I then matted it on yellow card so the yellow shows through for the stars and used Nuvo Sherbert shimmer drops to make a heart shape and give it a touch of glitter. The sentiment is also a Heffy Doodle stamp set called Everyday sentiment duos. I cut the sentiment out using a stitched strips of ease die.
This super sweet little duo are from the Heffy Doodle Hootiful set. I coloured them with my spectrum noir illustrators in the following colours:
The yellow owl: BO2,CT4,CT1
The pink owl: BP6,AP3,AP2
Their tummy and faces : GB4,GB1
The branches:RB2,RB1
Leaves: AG4,AG2

You make my heart saur

I feel like I am on a roll now. I had some friends over a few weeks ago to have a play making some cards and one of them wanted to mainly try and do some things with distress inks. So of course I was very happy to get them out and have fun getting inky :) I love creating but sometimes I find it helps to have a set thing to try and use or work with. It has made me want to use them much more again. For this card I used pumice stone distress ink and applied it through the Heffy Doodle stoney maloney stencil with Tim Holtz mini blenders. The cute little dino is from Heffy Doodle's Dino time set I coloured using the following spectrum noir illustrator pens: TB4,TB3,TB1

Swing by

I had so much fun creating this interactive swinging card. I love this adorable "Wingman" set from Heffy Doddle. I mirror stamped it so I could stick them back to back. That way when the perch swings around you can see the parrot on both sides.
I coloured this cutie in with the following Spectrum noir illustrator markers:
Perch: IG3, EB2
Beak: GY3,CT4
Feathers: DR4,CR10 and GY3,CT4
I used more Heffy Doodle goodies ( stitched circle dies ) to make the circle hole in the card and the frame around the hole which I then made dots around using Nuvo crystal drops.   I used the Heffy Doodle stencil Cross walk and cracked pistachio distress ink to create the striped paper and then stamped a sentiment from the wingman set to finish it off.
There are so many friends that I don't catch up with enough so I think I could do with making some more of these!

Colouring crazy

I was staying in a hotel for a week for work. What better to do than spend the down time colouring. I have to say I am really enjoying the spectrum noir illustrator pens. In case you haven't noticed I am also a little addicted to Heffy Doodle stamps 😃😂
I can't wait to start getting all these onto cards now. What have you all been creating?
