This little sweetie is cooking up a storm. I am so in love with the brilliant art work of Mo Manning and this little digi is called Queen of the kitchen. I coloured her with Spectrum noir illustrator markers and then matched her to some Craft Perfect papers and this great sentiment "Thinking of you" shadow die by Heffy Doodle.

I thought I would try something a bit different with my badger stamp set from Crafty Purple Frog. I got this little wooden box and a pyrography set a while ago and felt like it was time to get it back out again.
I stamped the images onto the box and then traced them with the pyrography tool to burn the lines into the box. I am really happy with how it turned out :D
I used the stamp set caller "The sett" for the badger and the little hearts and sentiment are from the "Sentiment sett".
To go with the box I also made a card using the badger from "The sett" I coloured the badger and his champagne in with spectrum noir tri-blends. I added some glossy accents to the champagne glass so it looks shiny. For the background I used the "Top hat" layering stencil along with some distress oxides and beautiful blender brushes. For the sentiment I have used the "Sentiment sett".

This is a very quick video to show 2 ways to add a veil to the badger from Crafty Purple Frogs "The Sett" It shows both masking and where you can cut the veil if you want to make it as two separate pieces that you can then add together.
This is an example of a finished card using the cut version.
Thank you for looking and if you are free there will be another crafty chat session at midday today UK in the Crafty Purple Frog facebook group that you can join :D

I am here again with another 3 tone colour map for you. This time it is for the swan from the "Spread your wings" stamp set. Again all you nee is 3 tones of the colour you would like to make your swan and then you can follow this little guide to get it all coloured up :)
For this example I used Spectrum noir tri-blend pens as each pen has the 3 blends in it for you making it so simple to get a great blend.
I also made a little video to show you me using the tone map to colour a black swan.
Here is an example of a card I made using my coloured swans. I mirror stamped the black swan using the mirror stamping mat so I could pair them up and used the "Written with love" back ground stamp on the circle to give it a bit of texture. The sentiment is from the "Just because" stamp set.
I hope you can find this useful. Thank you for looking.

I have come up with a little colour map that might help you if you are trying to work out how to give this cute little badger from "The Sett" a bit more definition.
This is going to look scary but I wanted the different colours to stand out clearly from each other.
To use this you will want three tones of whatever colour you want to make the badger. A dark, mid and a light tone. For my example I used a Spectrum noir tri blend as the one blend has all 3 tones I need in it.
Once you have your colours you can follow this to give you an idea of where I put my dark, mid and light tones:
I have also done this short video showing how I colour this cute badger using this 3 tone map :D
Here is the final card I made using the coloured up badger, some of his accessories along with a sentiment and the borders from the "Sentiment Sett".
I hope you will find this useful and that you have lots of fun colouring and making :D

This is the second sneak peek of the first ever release by Crafty Purple Frog. This adorable badger is part of a stamp set called "The Sett" a bit of a pun as badgers live in setts. There is also a sentiment set to coordinate with the bargers call "Sentiment Sett" There are more accessories with this badger so you can really go to town dressing it up and having fun :D
There is something very exciting happening at Crafty Purple Frog. We are making our own line of stamps and stencils!!! I am so happy to finally be bringing my drawings to life in some stamp sets that are themed around the amazing wildlife we have here in the UK.
This is the first sneak peek of one of the stamp sets and a stencil that is coming up. This stamp set is called "Spread your wings" set features a beautiful swan with some extras and sentiments to coordinate with it. The stencil is called "Splash" and has a lot of water droplet shapes radiating out. For this card I moved the stencil a few times to get a layered effect.
I made this card for my boyfriend on valentines day. He has made it possible for me to do my crafting full time and actually make a business out of it. The first ever Crafty Purple Frog release will be available on Friday the 19th of Feb.
