May your day bubble over with fun

I just can't stop using and colouring up this adorable little Merwee stamp set from Sweet November. I promise I will move on from mermaids again soon! But for now I thought I would do something a little different with them. For this card I cut a 4x4 inch square of my card and then used a load of the images from the stamp set to stamp all over it. I then coloured around the edges of them with a few copics before adding some sparkle to the bubbles with nuvo glitter drops and adding more blue nuvo drops all over to fill in the gaps. The sentiment comes with the set and I think just finishes it off perfectly. I really like how quick and easy this was to do.

I am entering this card for the following challenges:

Love to craft - Anything goes

I washed up like this

This beautiful Mermaid is one of the brand new clear stamp release from the awesome Sweet November stamps. The set is called Mermee set #1 and she comes with other mermaid friends and some super cute little extra fish and seahorse friends. I have coloured her with Spectrum Noir Tri-blends and then paper pieced her tail with Paper addicts Colour Pop paper pad. If you would like to have a chance to win this stamp set see my post HERE to enter my giveaway.
The little almost heart shaped eel is from the other new Sweet November stamp set called Merwee set #1 and again I have coloured it with Spectrum Noir Tri-blends.

The background I have made using distress oxides to blend the blue and yellow and then added some seaweed with the Lavinia seaweed stamp stamped with some green oxides. Just to finish it off I added the sentiment from the Mermee set and then some Nuvo drops to add sparkle and texture.

Ben and Jerry

This adorable duo are a digi stamp from Sweet November Stamps and are called Puppy Love - Ben and Jerry.
I couldn't resist colouring them in some bright happy colours. I used the following copics:
Skin: E37, E35, E21
Hair: C9, C7, C5, C3, C1
Eyes: E59, E57
Top: Y17, Y15, Y06
Jeans: B97, B95, B93
Dog: E99, E33   E55, E53  C5 for his nose and RV02 in his ears
Lead: R59, R35 and Y08 for his tag

I have made the orange and yellow stripey background piece by ink blending mustard seed distress oxide ink all over and then using the new release stamp from Time for tea designs essential stripes to stamp the orange lines with carved pumpkin and touches of candied apple distress oxide over the blended background.
I had even more fun making the yellow and green strip. For that I played with some alcohol inks on yupo paper for the first time. I first put spots of limeade and dandelion alcohol ink on a felt pad and tapped it all over my piece of yupo. To add a bit more depth to it I put more ink spots of Botanical alcohol ink onto a new felt pad on my mini applicator and added a few more spots of this darker ink over the top.
The amazing thank you sentiment is also from the new Time for tea release. I have to say I am completely in love with it. Its big enough to make a focal point on a card and a nice clear font. You can expect to see it quite a bit on my cards and creations :)

I am entering this card for the following challenges:
As you like it - Digi or rubber (I love both but I do like that digi's are so instant. Also I can flip them an make them any size I want)

June mertot meets Lavinia stamps

There is now a whole range of Lavinia stamps in the Crafty Purple Frog shop and I thought why not try and mix them up with the super cute June Mertot from Sweet November stamps. I started by doing my background using the seaweed 2 and sea bubbles stamps with some green Altenew inks and then used a yellow altenew ink and the lightest blue ink I had to ink around the edges of the card.
The adorable June mertot digi I coloured with the following Copic markers:

Skin: E33, E21, E00
Hair: E49, E57, E55, E31
Fish friend: G17, G07, G14
Tail: YR07, YR15, Y08, Y02

I also added Spectrum noir crystal clear sparkle pen to her tail so its really sparkly :D

The big hello sentiment is from Crafters companions script words set and I embossed it in gold embossing powder so it stands out more and adds shine to the card.

I am entering this card for the following challenges:

Bubbly baby Mertot

I am still so happy to be showing this next cutie as GDT for this weeks Sweet November release. This adorable bubble mertot is called May Mertot and is available in the Sweet November store now as a digi stamp so you can get her straight away. For me this bubble was crying out to be made into a shaker card.

I have coloured this cutie with the following copics:
Skin: E33, E21, E00
Hair: C9, C7, C5, C3
Tail: YR27, YR68, YR15
Toy: BG49, BG23, G00
Bubble background: BG15, G00
As normal for me I had to cover her tail in spectrum noir crystal clear sparkle pen and glossy accents.

I cut her out using Heffy Doodles stitched circles and did a couple of smaller stitched circles as extra bubbles that I then added some whatcha saying? sentiments to. For the shaker itself I cut another same sized circle from acetate and to finish it cut a thin circle frame in foam and in black card to just cover up the foam and just edge all the stitched circles/ bubbles.
For the background I used the Create a smile geometrics stamp set with the Altenew sweet dreams ink cubes to just give a bubbly background.

I am entering this card for the following challenges:
Make my Monday - For a baby
Ike's World - R is for round or dots
Crafty Creations - Anything goes
The sisterhood of crafters - Favorite technique (I love stamping/ making back grounds)

GDT for Sweet November

I can not tell you how excited I am to have been asked to be GDT for the incredible Sweet November for the release this week. I have had so much fun with the 2 new little mer tots. For this first card I have used the adorable June Mertot.
I decided to decoupage her as that is something I have not done with an image in ages and I love the way it make her look more 3D. I coloured her with my copics using the following colours:
Skin: E33, E21, E00 + a touch of R81
Hair: V06, R85, R81
Tail: G07, G14, YG03
Fish: Y38, Y02, Y000
As normal for me I had to cover her tail in spectrum noir crystal clear sparkle pen and glossy accents.

I made the background with distress oxide inks (Seedless preserves, Worn lipstick, Squeezed Lemonade) I then flicked some water over my inking and then sprayed some wilted violet distress oxide spray. The Dream big shadow sentiment is from time for tea and the smaller sentiment is from an old Stampin' up! stamp set.

I am entering this card for the following challenges:
Allsorts _ Magical worlds
Get creative - Fantasy
Simon Says Stamp - Make your own background

Dream Big

I think I am addicted to this Dream big sentiment die from Time for Tea designs. It could make a great card all on it's own.
I made this inky background at the weekend. I used wilted violet distress oxide ink to make an ombre down the paper. Then I flicked it with some water before adding some wilted violet distress oxide spray over it. I coloured in this adorable super girl from the Heffy Doodle super dudes stamp set with spectrum noir tri-blends. I attached her with an action wobble and then added some nuvo drops all around the card for added dimension.

I am entering this card for the following challenges:
Dream Valley Challenges - Add some sparkle
Simon Says Stamp - Make your own background
Pammies Inky Pinkies - Anything goes

She is another Sweet November digi called Glimmer Surfside and humphrey.
I coloured them with the following copic markers:

Hair: C7, C5, C3
Tail: G07, G14, YG03

As normal for me I couldn't resist adding the spectrum noir crystal clear sparkle pen to her tail after it was coloured and then covering it with glossy accents.

The sentiment is stamped in Chipped Sapphire distress oxide ink and comes from the Heffy Doodle Oceans of love stamp set. Then I used a range of Nuvo drops all around them to add some more sparkle and dimension.
